Consider the following descriptions of introverts and extroverts. Use the context (and a dictionary if necessary) to understand the meaning of the highlighted language.
Extroverts are gregarious and outgoing and are very comfortable in groups. In fact, they may be even happier as the center of attention. Extroverts love crowds: the more people around, the better life is! Extroverts like public demonstrations, community events, and other large social gatherings.
Introverts have an inward focus and typically aren’t the life of the party. They tend to be more private, reserved and reflective. Introverts have a strong sense of self that may make them feel more self-conscious around other people. This can make walking into a crowded room a little nerve-wracking.
